I spent a Saturday afternoon in July drawing costumed Pre-Rafaelites, reenactors and cosplayers as they strolled through the Truth and Beauty show at the Legion of Honour as they admired paintings by William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The full emersion felt like a time travel.
