This page provides information about (and drawings made by) the Marin Sketchers group. We meet every month or two in and around Marin County, California. Our next Marin Sketchers event is at Marin Country Mart at Larkspur Landing on Saturday, July 18th at 10:00am.
We’ll meet at the play area in the middle, where families gather around the big redwood logs. You could sit on the benches that encircle the grassy area or position yourself on the second floor stairway for a different perspective of these gigantic forms. There are lots of other things to sketch, like cool shop signage, merchants at the farmers’ market, and musicians (live music begins at 11:00am). We’ll throw down sketches at noon. There’s plenty of free parking (for 3 hours) and also at the Ferry Lot. Be aware that the Farmers’ Market will have started at 9:00am. If you’re driving, take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit off of Hwy. 101. If you’re in San Francisco, take 9:25am ferry for Larkspur Landing.
