About Bill
Visual journalist Bill Russell has been a freelance illustrator for magazines, books and newspapers for over thirty years. He graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1976. He was a part time staff artist at the San Francisco Chronicle where he illustrated a weekly panel of sketchbook journalism called The Bay Folk Sketchbook. For his art residency at Recology in San Francisco, Bill drew the employees in situ. His scratchboard illustrations can be seen at Billustration.com. Bill is represented by Reactor Art and Design in Toronto, Canada. Bill also stays creative working in a variety of other media and skill sets, as a web site designer and painter. Bill expands his illustrative approach to new markets and clients with his reportage.
